This drawing reflects on the difficult times in life when we experience a trial, a crisis, a challenge, or a loss. It can feel like a dangerous and tumultuos storm has arisen. 
 
I reflected on the account in Mark 4 of Jesus and the disciples in the boat when a storm arose. This image is in the devotional Encounter - Chapter 8.
 
There are character qulaities that God grows in our lives as we navigate the storm. We learn to rely on God, who is present with us. We learn to pray our fear. We look for the light, and we choose trust.
